Listen, us Autism Moms are really struggling. Any little bit of help that we can get, we will take. Promise to make our day easier? SOLD. Where do I sell my kidney?

We are typically juggling an outrageous amount of meetings, appointments, therapies, and paperwork. Not to mention, trying to keep a tidy home with wild ass toddlers with texture issues, that terrorize us.

Plus, we get to juggle the "American Dream", a clever marketing term for being a 24/7 Executive Custodian, VP of Crisis Management, and the one and only, Snack Bitch.

I wish I had more hours in the day to give you mom, because you are not alone in feeling like 24 is just not cutting it.

Having never left the state of pure exhaustion since having kids, I promise you nothing made the list that didn't absolutely change the day to day for me! You can trust me.

Ironically enough, all items fall into the three categories of job titles I gave us Moms: Executive Custodian, VP of Crisis Management, and Snack Bitch.

As the Executive Custodian, there are three Tech Tools I cannot live without:

  1. Shark Robot Vacuum

  • One less thing you have to manually do, at the end of the day.

  • If you are like us, and have dogs & feral children you will love this self emptying crumb & hair pick up wizard.

  1. Bissell Spin Mop

  • For the love of god, throw out your Swiffer.

  • My shoulders & back hurt just from thinking about Swiffers.

  • This goddess of spills, spins on its own and actual pulls you along- you just have to guide it!

  1. HEAPETS Air Purifier

  • I have posted this one before, it is that life changing.

  • This literally sucks dog hair & fruit snack wrappers out of air.

  • It also warns you when a chemical you use near it is toxic.

The next three Tech Tools are perfect for a VP of Crisis Management, think....Peace of Mind, Helicopter Mom, or better yet Department of Defense:

  1. PanTilt Indoor Ring Cam

  • Our kids require constant supervision, we need motion alerts, 24/7 recording, & full rotation capability around the room.

  • This pairs nicely with the next Tech Tool, and I couldn't live without them.

  1. Amazon Echo Show 15

  • Not only can this Alexa Hub host your family calendars, to do lists, shopping lists, give you reminders, play your music, showcase your family photos but it can PULL UP YOUR RING CAMERA LIVE FOOTAGE.

  • This means, I can say "Alexa, show me the boys room" and it pulls up the live view of their room.

  1. AngelSense Tracker

  • I am sad to say this is a pricey one, but can you actually put a price on safety?

  • Elopement, common in Autism, can be life or death.

  • And no, an apple air tag will not work when your kid runs for the wooded area, or big body of water.

  • I have no affiliation with this one, we just use and love it.

Last, but certainly not least, as a Snack Bitch, this will be your most useful Tech Tool:

  1. IPad 8th Gen (AAC Device)

  • This tool has a couple parts to it.

  • I picked this IPad, because it's the cheapest option, and it is IOS which is needed for the free AAC App you will download.

  • The App is called "ChatterBoards".

  • This will allow your non verbal or minimally speaking kiddo to have a communication device, allowing them to request specific SNACKS.

  • Say goodbye to the endless chants of "Snack, Snack, Snack, Snack"- now you will hear whatever button options you choose to give them. You're Welcome.

Check out the links to the items that pair with this IPad to make it into an AAC Device:

Hope you beautiful Moms find these Tech Tools as useful as I have. Orbiting Autism is no small feat. Finding even small things that can make your day easier, can make a huge difference. The overwhelm, the mental load, the being on and one step ahead 24/7, I feel you. I still live there. I see you, you are not alone. I am just a chat away. Never hesitate to reach out, I will be part of your village!
